Hi-Vue Farms: Forests, Birds, and Vermont Maple
Hi-Vue Farms is a family-owned and operated maple farm founded in 1903 and located along Vermont’s northern border in Richford, looking into Canada. Today, the farm is managed by great-granddaughter Jessica, her husband Matt, and her father Dale, with help from the next generation whenever they can be home.
Hi-Vue taps approximately 5,500 maple trees across more than 425 acres, producing pure organic maple syrup and maple products including candy, cream, and vinegar. The farm also supports a small apiary, laying hens, and other farm animals. It is a working landscape shaped by care and continuity.
Hi-Vue is a Conserved Carbon Offset Farm through the Vermont Land Trust and Cold Hollow to Canada conservation groups and is certified organic through the Northeast Organic Farming Association. The farm is also certified Bird-Friendly Maple through the Audubon Society. Protecting migratory songbird habitat and maintaining wildlife corridors are central to how the land is managed.
